Base Salary
$186k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of a multi-tenant cloud-based data platform.
- Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals and translate requirements into execution plans.
- Drive cross-team technical programs, design reviews, architectural guidance, and resolution of cross-functional blockers.
- Improve engineering processes, development efficiency, delivery speed, and code quality.
- Ensure 24/7 system availability through reliability, fault tolerance, automation, observability, and rapid customer issue resolution.
- Evaluate cross-provider cloud technologies and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building and managing large-scale cloud-based data platforms, with expertise in distributed systems and data architecture.
- Proficiency in Java or comparable languages such as Go or Python, with deep expertise in REST APIs, relational databases, document stores, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience driving cross-team technical programs, owning design reviews, and producing architectural guidance.
- Experience collaborating with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to turn requirements into execution plans.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with Grafana, Prometheus, monitoring, tracing, observability tooling, test frameworks, unit testing, and mentoring engineering talent.
- Advanced degrees and industry certifications are advantageous.
