Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation and launch activities for multimedia and telematics products, including technical requirements, architecture reviews, and software-quality assessments.
- Manage product evaluation throughout planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with North American teams, suppliers, and Toyota Motor Corporation stakeholders on connected-services solutions.
- Develop and improve standard processes focused on product quality, efficiency, and customer value.
- Support post-launch quality assurance, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor schedule, cost, quality, and performance risks and recommend solutions to improve program execution.
- Benchmark industry trends, competitive products, and customer feedback to inform future product strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of experience supporting multimedia systems, telematics products, connected services, or related automotive technologies.
- Demonstrated automotive-industry experience focused on connected services, telematics platforms, or multimedia products.
- Experience developing technical requirements, functional specifications, architecture documentation, or system-level designs.
- Experience delivering products through the full product development lifecycle and working with suppliers or external vendors.
- Strong communication, relationship management, analytical, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
- An acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or higher, extensive automotive connected-services experience, experience with listed technology platforms and programming languages, and certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, ACP, APMG, or DSDM.
