Responsibilities
- Define and maintain target architectures and roadmaps for AI-enabled engineering across software development, build, verification, testing, design, and engineering operations.
- Develop reusable patterns for engineering agents, retrieval, model access, tool use, orchestration, context, evaluation, observability, and production support.
- Define integration patterns across source control, CI/CD, artifact management, IDEs, command-line tools, APIs, schedulers, technical computing, and specialist engineering platforms.
- Set architecture for identity propagation, secrets, permissions, privileged execution, human approval, traceability, failure handling, and safe shutdown.
- Shape secure and traceable AI access to source code, specifications, build and verification results, design artifacts, telemetry, and engineering knowledge.
- Lead significant Engineering AI design decisions and balance scale, latency, concurrency, resilience, cost, and supportability.
- Partner with engineering, platform, data, security, and service leaders while influencing without direct reporting authority and mentoring others.
Requirements
- Experience leading architecture for complex engineering platforms, developer environments, or technical-computing ecosystems at scale.
- Experience designing production AI solutions, including generative AI, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, and evaluation.
- Strong architecture knowledge across source control, CI/CD, artifact management, build systems, developer tooling, APIs, events, IDE workflows, and command-line workflows.
- Experience designing for demanding distributed or compute-intensive workloads involving throughput, latency, concurrency, scheduling, capacity, resilience, and cost.
- Knowledge of identity, authorization, secrets, privileged execution, software supply-chain controls, auditability, and safe failure for AI-enabled workflows.
- Experience defining target architectures, reference patterns, and non-functional requirements and guiding services from experimentation into reliable production operation.
- Ability to influence senior Engineering and technology leaders, translate between specialists and enterprise teams, and build commitment without reporting-line authority.
- Preferred experience with semiconductor or SoC development, EDA, verification, simulation, engineering workflows, tool-protocol ecosystems, architecture communities, standards, research, open source, or technology partnerships.
Benefits
- Encouraging and inclusive environment supporting continuous learning and professional growth.
- Hybrid working framework with team-determined patterns; role-specific details are shared during the application process.
- Recruitment adjustments and accommodations are available upon request.
