Responsibilities

  • Write original algorithmic problems with clear statements, sound constraints, and intended solutions.
  • Write correct C++ and Python solutions as well as realistic deliberately wrong solutions.
  • Build generators, edge cases, stress tests, and hacking tests that expose incorrect implementations.
  • Write testlib checkers and interactors for problems with multiple valid answers.
  • Verify that correct solutions pass and wrong solutions fail within time limits.
  • Submit accepted project tasks by their deadlines during active project phases.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated competitive-programming background through a public profile, Codeforces rating, or IOI, ICPC, or national-olympiad achievement.
  • Fluent contest C++ knowledge, including STL and complexity analysis, plus comfort writing Python.
  • Ability to explain why a solution is wrong and construct an input that breaks it.
  • Strong written English at C1+ level.
  • Applicants should provide competitive-programming handles and current or peak ratings, problem-setting experience, and IOI/ICPC/olympiad history.
  • Experience setting or testing problems for contests, using testlib, or creating LLM code-benchmark or evaluation data is preferred.

Benefits

  • Estimated workload of around 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, without a guaranteed workload.
  • Paid per accepted task, with rates based on qualification tier and efficiency, up to the equivalent of $90 per hour.
