Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support Oracle database applications using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Develop and support packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views.
- Create and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation and batch processing.
- Manage and optimize batch jobs using Autosys, Control-M, or Cron.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Perform SQL query optimization, database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Support production incidents, application releases, deployments across Unix servers, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is required; the posting also lists an experience range of 3–8 years.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle database concepts, data modeling, and database application development.
- Experience with Unix/Linux commands, Korn Shell, Bash Shell, Bourne Shell, shell script debugging, and optimization.
- Experience with Autosys, Control-M, or Cron job scheduling.
- Experience with production support, incident management, version control tools, and SQL performance tuning.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket is required.
- Oracle APEX, ETL or data migration, CI/CD and DevOps practices, AWS or Azure, and Jira are preferred.
- Banking, financial services, or capital markets domain experience is preferred.
