Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and teams developing distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy with architects and product leaders.
- Develop cloud-based solutions using modern programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technical standards.
- Use observability and reliability practices to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, applying observability and reliability practices, and optimizing distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience leading architectural reviews, enforcing coding standards, influencing technology strategy, and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Preferred: experience using modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
