Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Create and monitor metrics to support operations and availability.
- Set and improve code review and design standards for the team.
- Provide feedback and guidance to develop talent on the team.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in backend development using languages like Python or Kotlin.
- Experience with distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Fluency in batch processing technologies like Airflow, Spark, Data Lake, and Snowflake.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
- Proactive in seeking feedback and taking ownership of personal growth.
