Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate shared AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, including environments, VPCs/VNets, subnets, gateways, and networking services.
- Implement and maintain scalable compute foundations, Kubernetes clusters, serverless functions, container runtimes, and shared platform components.
- Deploy, configure, upgrade, scale, and secure Kubernetes clusters using EKS and AKS.
- Provision and manage cloud resources through Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
- Implement IAM, RBAC, network security, encryption, secrets management, patching, health checks, diagnostics, and high-availability configurations.
- Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility.
- Optimize cloud consumption through tagging, rightsizing, automated remediation, and cost governance practices.
- Build standardized infrastructure modules, templates, deployment patterns, documentation, and operational guardrails.
- Support application and DevOps teams onboarding services to shared container and platform environments.
- Influence cloud architecture, multi-cloud operating models, security posture, cost efficiency, and reliability decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in cloud or platform engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience operating production systems in AWS and Azure.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure for multi-team or enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure compute, storage, networking, IAM, and security services.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including deployments, scaling, and platform operations with EKS and AKS.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, and environment automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Understanding of network design, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.
- Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps or platform teams and maintain clear documentation.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Experience with container security, image scanning, runtime security, service mesh technologies, advanced Kubernetes networking, multi-region or multi-cloud deployments, FinOps, cost governance, or platform enablement is desirable.
