Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of core mobile app features with deep native iOS integration.
- Collaborate with React front-end engineers to deliver a seamless and performant mobile application.
- Partner with Design and Product to make trade-offs and ship high-impact mobile features.
- Improve app performance, responsiveness, and battery efficiency using relevant metrics and optimizations.
- Build resilient flows and graceful error handling for real-world field conditions.
- Evolve the mobile design system and UI patterns.
- Raise engineering standards through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to improve quality and delivery speed while preserving readability and tests.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in native iOS development and mobile architecture.
- Experience with App Store releases at scale, design systems, and mentoring mobile engineers.
- Experience with React Native and understanding of its mapping to the iOS platform.
- Strong experience optimizing mobile performance and improving developer experience.
- Experience shipping complex, high-performance native iOS applications in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
- A degree is a bonus but is not required.
