Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, secure, resilient architectural designs and solution blueprints across Treasury and Tax products, including Kyriba and Vertex.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, high-level designs, configuration documents, technical specifications, and related documentation.
- Guide product engineering, boundary, and integration teams through solution design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Define and evolve technology strategy and roadmaps, and evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, vendors, and project constraints.
- Provide hands-on technical support for complex implementation and operational issues, including patch analysis and deployment planning.
- Collaborate with product managers, development teams, operations, security, business units, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
- Establish technical standards, governance frameworks, policies, and compliance controls, and help mitigate system risks and vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture in large-scale, global technology environments.
- 3+ years of experience in a multi-jurisdictional environment with emphasis on indirect tax.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of Treasury applications, bank reporting, payment systems, and bank-client integrations.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture and large-scale integration in QSR, retail, enterprise applications, or BOS environments.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies and data architecture principles.
- Experience applying Product and Agile ways of working and collaborating with business and product teams in complex global matrixed organizations.
- Experience with Vertex or other tax engines is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes Oracle ERP/EPM, Kyriba, banking connectivity and migrations, FTP/H2H, SFTP, APIs, certificates, encryption, SWIFT channels, cash management, payment interfaces, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, SSO, SAML, OAuth, ITIL, JIRA, Confluence, IT General Controls, SOX compliance, cloud security, DevOps, and systems performance.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
