Responsibilities
- Architect and implement large language model strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Design and optimize neural network architectures for natural language processing and large-scale text data.
- Develop machine learning algorithms, computational systems, scalable data pipelines, and production AI/ML solutions.
- Customize and apply deep learning, generative AI, and large language models for enterprise use cases.
- Design and operate MLOps and LLMOps pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and reliability.
- Research and develop AI, high-performance computing, simulation, and computational algorithms.
- Coordinate cross-functional integration of language models into broader systems and workflows.
- Act as a subject matter expert, make team decisions, provide cross-team solutions, and mentor junior team members.
- Collaborate with clients, business owners, engineers, architects, data specialists, and UI designers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, including the stated requirement for 12 years of experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a master's degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale, including monitoring, alerting, automated bug filing, and auditing.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations involving computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong communication, client-facing consulting, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience designing and optimizing neural network architectures for natural language processing and handling large-scale unstructured datasets.
