Responsibilities
- Shape the technical vision, architecture, design, and development approach for software projects, systems, and platforms.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop project scopes, execution plans, solution designs, and technical processes.
- Research and evaluate technologies, programming languages, products, and design patterns.
- Create and maintain complex solutions involving data infrastructure, reporting, applications, and analytical requirements.
- Manage requirements gathering, solution design, application development, system testing, implementation, and training across the project lifecycle.
- Analyze end-user data needs and develop solutions that interface with existing applications.
- Review and approve final code before deployment and maintain documentation for processes and procedures.
- Recommend product customizations, enhancements, and workarounds to meet business requirements.
- Support and coach team members in the use of software applications and develop functional unit testing for test automation.
- Ensure software meets quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility requirements.
- Act as a technical liaison, coordinate or lead technology projects, and communicate architectural concepts to development teams and organizational stakeholders.
- Design workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable business or technical experience.
- At least 3–7 years of application development experience involving programming, data management, collection, modeling, and interpretation across complex datasets.
- At least 3–7 years of experience in software architecture, design, development, and implementation.
- Programming experience with databases, systems, or scripting, including the ability to write SQL queries and work with Microsoft SQL Server tables and connectivity.
- Expert-level understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Experience designing full-stack, scalable, manageable, and highly efficient solutions.
- Ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best option to business and project teams.
- Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Mastery of test strategies, test plans, and test execution.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes, artificial intelligence, or machine learning is a bonus.
- Experience in the eDiscovery space, Relativity, NUIX, or Relativity custom application development is a plus.
