Responsibilities
- Build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems in a DevSecOps environment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to create highly available, cost-effective systems.
- Resolve cloud operations tickets, develop and run scripts, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Create auto-remediation tools and establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting for critical systems.
- Build infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform, cloud CLI scripting, or cloud SDK programming.
- Participate in a 24/7 follow-the-sun first-responder team for incident and problem management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related coding-focused technical field, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent job experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, and networking.
- At least 1 year of experience developing or administering software in a public cloud.
- Experience monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability.
- Experience with languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
- Cross-functional knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- System administration and automation experience with Linux or Windows using Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and/or containers such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
