Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced machine learning models, including deep learning, time-series forecasting, recommendation engines, and LLM-based solutions.
- Develop enterprise search, document summarization, conversational AI, and automated knowledge retrieval use cases with large language models.
- Fine-tune and prompt-engineer foundation models and optimize LLM performance, latency, cost, and hallucination mitigation for production use.
- Collaborate with data and ML engineering teams to integrate LLM applications into scalable, secure, and reliable pipelines.
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation architectures using vector databases and support model deployment with MLOps practices.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, lead workshops and proofs of concept, and communicate model outputs as business insights.
- Provide thought leadership, mentor AI engineering team members, and contribute to generative AI roadmaps and enterprise model governance.
Requirements
- Education in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, data science, or machine learning, including 1–2 years with LLMs or generative AI technologies.
- Demonstrated success deploying machine learning and NLP solutions at scale.
- Experience with cloud AI platforms, especially Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Hugging Face, or AWS Bedrock.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL and experience with Transformers, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangChain, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, LLM orchestration, data storage and retrieval systems, and vector databases.
- Understanding of generative AI model evaluation, including factuality, relevance, and toxicity metrics.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, storytelling, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Preferred: experience with IoT, edge analytics, or smart building systems; familiarity with LLMOps, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks; and knowledge of enterprise LLM privacy and governance.
