Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine user interfaces and controls for sensors integrated onboard uncrewed underwater vehicles.
- Develop and optimize UUV behaviors to complete assigned missions and maximize sensor data collection.
- Optimize software written in C, C++, C#, Java, and Python.
- Develop platform-independent data processing tools.
- Produce software performance reports based on test and evaluation requirements.
- Create engineering and training documentation for technology deliveries.
- Architect and implement secure CI/CD pipelines with containerization, automated testing, and vulnerability scanning.
- Conduct onboard boat and ship testing, launch and recover systems at sea, analyze post-test data, and report results.
- Develop expertise in UUV operations, sensor integration, mission constructs, command and control, and at-sea test and evaluation.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; a Master of Science is preferred.
- At least 3 years of programming fluency in C/C++, Python, and Java.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience developing solutions, delivering products, and testing and evaluating performance independently or in teams.
- Experience analyzing experiment data and feeding results into the development cycle.
- Strong technical writing skills for technical reports and briefing materials.
- Ability to identify solutions and map them to schedules.
- Ability and willingness to work aboard marine vessels, including overnight trips, in varied temperatures and inclement weather.
- Ability to move around piers, docks, warehouses, and facilities; lift or transport up to 50 pounds; climb ladders up to 20 feet; and perform extended periods of physical activity.
- Experience with UUV operations, sensor integration, mission constructs, command and control, and at-sea testing is ideal.
