Responsibilities
- Prototype and implement AI/ML models for electronic design automation workflows.
- Develop, test, and refine software components in Python, with potential C++ or Rust contributions under mentorship.
- Integrate ML algorithms into Windows desktop applications.
- Contribute to data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance testing, and software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, AI researchers, and RFIC domain experts on schematic, layout, modeling, and optimization workflows.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with at least one ML/DL framework, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Interest in systems programming and performance-aware development.
- Exposure to a UI framework or visualization library such as PySide6, Qt, matplotlib, or React.
- Familiarity with or interest in AI for RFIC and analog circuit design, schematic generation, layout automation, PCells, computational geometry, surrogate modeling, optimization, design space exploration, or Bayesian optimization.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to generative AI, reinforcement learning, agentic AI systems, RF/circuit/EDA coursework or projects, C++ or Rust, Windows or Linux software development, Git, multithreaded applications, and desktop software development.
