Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI applications, services, and reusable platform components across the software development lifecycle.
  • Build LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, agentic workflows, model API integrations, prompt-engineering solutions, context pipelines, and automation.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities for enterprise AI products.
  • Translate business and product requirements into clear technical solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Evaluate models and AI solutions, analyze performance and quality results, and recommend improvements to models, prompts, workflows, and application designs.
  • Write efficient, testable code; participate in code reviews; and maintain technical documentation.
  • Build automated tests and deployment pipelines, troubleshoot defects and production issues, and support operational readiness and reliability.
  • Apply security, privacy, model risk, responsible AI, change management, and software quality standards throughout delivery.
  • Manage technical debt, identify reuse opportunities, and improve engineering methods, tools, and platform capabilities.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to shared technical practices across the APAC AI Hub.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferably 7+ years of experience in software engineering, applied AI/ML, platform development, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience building and supporting production applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, or cloud-based platforms.
  • Practical experience with LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, session context management, model APIs, AI agents, evaluation methods, or related AI technologies.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and one or more modern backend or cloud-native development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, automated testing, source control, containers, monitoring, security, and production-support practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements, troubleshoot technical problems, and deliver secure, testable, maintainable software.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across APAC and global teams.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated environment is a plus.
