Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests, testing frameworks, and developer tooling for backend services and machine learning models and pipelines.
- Analyze and implement coding guidelines, design principles, workflow practices, quality gates, and CI/CD processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish quality assurance practices, techniques, and methodologies.
- Identify process and architecture inefficiencies and drive improvements that reduce risk and promote continuous testing.
- Evaluate tools, create proof-of-concept models, and recommend solutions for tool selection.
- Mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of software development and/or test automation experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of such experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading complex, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience designing and implementing testing frameworks for distributed systems, including service-layer testing, backend APIs, data processing, and infrastructure components.
- Experience or interest in testing machine learning algorithms and large-scale distributed data systems.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, creativity, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of Big Data systems, including Apache Spark.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML systems or platforms involving model training, data pipelines, and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience building tooling, automating tasks, and developing supporting systems to streamline development workflows.
