Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engineer performance and scalability improvements for large-scale, distributed, cloud-native database services.
- Conduct performance analysis, detect and fix bottlenecks, and optimize software and workloads.
- Resolve customer performance issues and design application tools, system architecture, and end-to-end tests.
- Build automated performance regression infrastructure and benchmark new hardware and software versions.
- Perform capacity planning and contribute to the performance roadmap for cost-effective database services.
- Manage multiple technical projects while aligning schedules, milestones, and priorities with technology and business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation.
- Two years of experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar OLTP databases.
- Two years of hands-on experience with query tuning and storage-system performance analysis.
- Two years of experience using at least one of GCOV, Flamegraphs, or perf.
- Two years of experience working on large codebases and coding in C, C++, or Python.
- Two years of hands-on experience building a performance automation tool.
