Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.
- Design and implement security architecture and promote secure-by-design practices.
- Conduct vulnerability management, security risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents.
- Plan and implement security education and awareness programs.
- Research emerging technologies and cybersecurity threat trends.
- Lead regulatory compliance and audit support for financial-industry and critical-infrastructure requirements, including FISC, PCI DSS, and ISMS.
- Coordinate with internal departments, executives, Rakuten Group cybersecurity teams, overseas vendors, and global teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in information security or cybersecurity.
- Experience conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
- Experience responding to security incidents.
- Experience planning and implementing security education and training programs.
- Understanding of secure-by-design concepts and the ability to apply them.
- Basic knowledge of system development and operations, including networks, servers, and cloud environments.
- Ability to coordinate and negotiate with departments and stakeholders.
- Business-level Japanese communication skills for regulations, documentation, meetings, and presentations.
- Experience in financial-industry security or critical-infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, is preferred.
- English communication skills, DevSecOps knowledge, SIEM operation or security log analysis experience, and zero-trust security experience are preferred.
