Responsibilities
- Lead technical execution across backend, frontend, mobile, AI, and data initiatives.
- Translate ambiguous product goals into technical plans, milestones, ownership, and trade-offs.
- Resolve complex engineering problems and coordinate cross-domain work.
- Partner with founders, product managers, designers, and engineers on technical decisions.
- Improve engineering quality, speed, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define hiring needs, role requirements, interview criteria, and technical evaluation standards.
- Build internal AI workflows and promote an AI-native engineering culture.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Require experience leading large-scope technical work across multiple engineers, teams, or product areas.
- Require experience as a Technical Lead, Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, CTO, Staff Engineer, or hands-on Engineering Manager.
- Require strong engineering fundamentals and technical judgment across multiple domains.
- Require deep familiarity with AI tools and the ability to use AI to augment technical execution and decision-making.
- Require the ability to operate under ambiguity and convert unclear goals into executable plans.
- Require strong communication skills with founders, product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Prefer experience with agentic AI systems, LLM workflows, AI agents, or AI-assisted product creation.
- Prefer experience with machine learning, recommendation systems, ranking, experimentation, or data pipelines.
- Prefer experience building consumer-facing, mobile, social, creator, or developer products.
- Prefer experience in VC-backed startups or high-growth technology companies.
- Prefer experience hiring, interviewing, or defining technical standards for engineering roles.
