Responsibilities
- Support software creation and project delivery for rail-sector clients.
- Collaborate with software, telecommunications, electrical, and systems engineering specialists.
- Perform analysis and modelling activities to develop practical project solutions.
- Build relationships with clients and develop industry contacts.
- Support systems in production, including 24/7 railway operational systems and potential overtime or on-call work.
- Apply quality standards and regulations while contributing to project and operational outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate before commencing full-time work in February 2027 and be available to start in February 2027.
- Hold a tertiary degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Have relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia.
- Demonstrate interest in rail and an understanding of systems engineering.
- Have a detail-oriented, analytical, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn quickly.
- Have a technical background in coding, control systems, software development lifecycles, and software design principles.
- Have foundational understanding of networking, telecommunications, databases, and systems administration.
- Exposure to AI-first engineering techniques is expected; previous engineering consulting vacation or internship experience is highly regarded.
