Responsibilities
- Own Nuon installation and day-2 operations for enterprise BYOC customers.
- Author and refine runbooks, policies, and versioned actions for customer BYOC environments.
- Maintain the Nuon BYOC app configuration as product code.
- Build and maintain Nuon app configurations during onboarding and POCs.
- Monitor customer environments and respond to alerts proactively.
- Execute customer-initiated break-glass operations with proper controls.
- Operate the underlying infrastructure stack and triage issues.
- Coordinate change windows and migrations with customer engineering teams.
- Partner with the IST-based on-call team for handoffs.
- Provide feedback on operational pain to improve the product.
- Communicate and support customers in shared Slack channels.
- Contribute to Nuon's documentation and knowledge base.
Requirements
- 4+ years as a customer-facing engineer, SRE, or implementation engineer in infrastructure or developer tools.
- Experience working in early-stage startups with a strong work ethic.
- Strong Linux skills and proficiency with AI tools like Claude Code.
- 3+ years operating Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficient with AWS and at least one of Google Cloud or Azure.
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform.
- Expertise in networking, including VPCs and load balancers.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or Temporal in production.
- A bias toward writing runbooks and documentation.
