Base Salary

$218k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own core UI platform systems used across all frontend surfaces.
Drive improvements in reliability, performance, and latency at the platform level.
Build and evolve backend-for-frontend APIs (REST/GraphQL) that serve our UI surfaces.
Lead architecture and technical directions for improvements to real-time data streams.
Partner closely with frontend engineers and product teams to understand scaling pain points.
Serve as a technical multiplier: unblock teams, review high-impact changes, and mentor other engineers.
Enable developer velocity by improving local dev, builds, CI/CD, testing, release pipelines, and observability.

8+ years of experience in software engineering.
Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
Passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Experience with rapid company growth from small to large engineering teams is a plus.
Familiarity with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum) is preferred.
Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices is a plus.
Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, and Postgres is advantageous.
Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems is preferred.
