Responsibilities
- Perform architecture and security reviews of cloud and on-premises applications.
- Define application security requirements, conduct threat modeling, and manage or oversee application penetration tests.
- Review and update security baselines in response to evolving threats, standards, and organizational needs.
- Establish security principles, policies, governance processes, and a secure development lifecycle framework.
- Identify vulnerabilities through static and dynamic code analysis, security scanning, and security report investigations.
- Support incident response activities involving application security issues.
- Lead implementation of strategic security initiatives and advise on security-business tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8+ years of experience in cloud applications, cybersecurity, or related domains.
- Strong experience performing threat modeling and application security reviews.
- Hands-on experience with white-box, gray-box, and black-box assessments or oversight of OWASP-focused application penetration tests.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams and provide business-aligned security advice.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of zero trust, identity, threat detection, threat modeling, and security practices.
