Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, test libraries, utilities, reusable components, and test infrastructure.
- Build large-scale automated test suites for enterprise SaaS applications, APIs, services, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Write production-quality automation for functional, integration, regression, API, and system-level testing.
- Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate code analysis, test generation, debugging, and automation development, while validating generated outputs.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, runners, build systems, deployment pipelines, test environments, and reporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, application issues, environment problems, production defects, and customer issues using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product management, DevOps, operations, and QA teams to identify quality risks and improve engineering practices.
- Improve testability, observability, reliability, performance, maintainability, automation stability, coverage, and execution efficiency.
- Review application and test code and independently drive automation initiatives from design through production adoption.
- Support production issue reproduction and troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation experience with strong programming skills.
- Programming experience in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Experience building automation frameworks, test libraries, reusable testing components, and automation infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, APIs, databases, debugging, version control, test design, regression testing, and automation reliability.
- Experience automating tests for APIs, backend services, web applications, distributed systems, or enterprise software.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated test execution, runners, and build or deployment infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud environments and troubleshooting cloud-hosted applications and test environments.
- Experience diagnosing complex application and production issues using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code-level debugging.
- Ability to understand existing codebases and independently create significant automated test coverage.
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools or coding agents in software engineering and test automation.
- Strong analytical, debugging, collaboration, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Willingness to support production issue reproduction and troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise SaaS, IT management, cybersecurity, endpoint management, RMM, hybrid environments, API automation, integration testing, contract testing, service virtualization, distributed-system testing, containerized test environments, SQL, relational databases, and large-scale SDET or DevTest frameworks.
- Preferred tools and platforms include Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, pytest, JUnit, TestNG, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
