Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects, customers, and partners throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with the Territory Manager on account strategy, opportunity progression, and removal of technical purchase barriers.
  • Lead technical discovery and design solution architectures based on Virtuozzo’s cloud infrastructure platform.
  • Deliver demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, trials, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and explain their operational and commercial value.
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and address questions about architecture, deployment, integration, performance, security, scalability, and migration.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services to validate solutions and communicate customer requirements.
  • Support handover of successful opportunities to implementation, onboarding, and customer-support teams.
  • Contribute to technical sales documentation, reference architectures, competitive materials, enablement resources, and product feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of Virtuozzo products, competitors, and relevant cloud infrastructure technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in sales engineering, pre-sales consulting, solution architecture, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience supporting complex B2B software or infrastructure sales cycles.
  • Solid knowledge of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, Linux, or related infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure architectures, deployment models, configuration, integration, and performance considerations.
  • Experience leading technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, workshops, trials, or proof-of-concept projects.
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into credible technical solutions and explain complex technology in commercial language.
  • Strong consulting, presentation, stakeholder-management, customer-influence, and commercial-awareness skills.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning closely with the Territory Manager and wider sales team.
  • Fluent English; professional fluency in French or German is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, partner engagements, industry events, and internal meetings when required.
  • Experience with cloud service providers, managed service providers, hosting companies, telecommunications providers, infrastructure software vendors, channel or partner-led models, or service-provider go-to-market is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of private, hybrid, sovereign, or multi-tenant cloud environments is advantageous.
  • Experience with customer onboarding or technical project coordination is advantageous.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is advantageous.
