Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable platform components for advanced retrieval.
- Create optimized indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop backend services for semantic and hybrid retrieval.
- Enhance retrieval quality through evaluation and observability frameworks.
- Design APIs for internal and external users.
- Optimize latency, throughput, and cost for large-scale workloads.
- Drive technical direction for reliability and security.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in shipping production-grade backends for large-scale systems.
- Proven ability to design for high throughput, low latency, and maintainability.
- Experience with high-throughput indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of semantic search, vector databases, and hybrid retrieval strategies.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language like Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
