Base Salary

$160k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable AI platforms and company-wide proxy systems.
  • Own platform initiatives end to end, including technical strategy, implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term evolution.
  • Onboard frontier models, expand compute resources, and optimize proxy performance, security, logging, and control.
  • Build shared products, prompts, skills, infrastructure, documentation, training, and hands-on support to drive adoption.
  • Develop tools for AI-powered code review, pull-request automation, safety guardrails, and other business-risk mitigation.
  • Enable users to convert engineering problems and ideas into tested software, deployed applications, and trained models on managed compute.
  • Define secure, effective applied-AI best practices and collaborate with ML research, security, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers and communicate the value and impact of platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline and 5+ years of professional experience building production software, or 7+ years of such experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience developing and operating production platforms such as AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or large-scale backend systems.
  • Preferred experience building internal AI gateways, secure proxy systems, or MLOps platforms.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, security architecture, and integrations across multiple cloud and frontier model providers.
  • Experience with model onboarding, compute orchestration, observability, and infrastructure for high-volume AI usage.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong experience with additional languages such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or Rust.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and highly reliable distributed systems.
