Responsibilities
- Design and develop software tests for the control software of AIXTRON systems.
- Analyze technical requirements and create, update, and enhance test specifications and manual black-box test cases.
- Create, execute, maintain, document, and analyze software test plans and results using test management software.
- Support the creation and review of automated test scripts.
- Prepare software test reports, communicate results to software development, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Build and maintain compatible test environments, test data, test sets, simulation models, and SIL/HIL test environments.
- Collaborate in an agile development team on future software enhancements.
- Support and communicate with other departments, teams, and product lines.
Requirements
- Completed degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience conducting software and system tests and documenting and tracking software defects; entry-level candidates are also welcomed.
- Experience or strong interest in building simulation models and environments and using SIL/HIL systems.
- Proficiency with a software test management tool, preferably OpenText Application Quality Management (AQM).
- Additional knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and automated testing methods, preferably OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT), is desirable.
- ISTQB-CTFL certification is an additional advantage.
- Interest in practical testing of complex technical systems at equipment and in laboratory or cleanroom environments.
- Good communication skills in German and English and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Structured, independent, collaborative, and proactive working style with an interest in software-testing trends.
