Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver automation solutions across application and cloud environments for licensing and engineering tools.
- Support Linux applications, HPC infrastructure, EDA tools, licensing systems, and job schedulers.
- Automate repetitive tasks and build open-source tools such as Python, GCC, and LLVM in an Environment Module.
- Collaborate with technical leads, managers, project managers, and engineering teams across EIT.
- Participate in an on-call rota and provide technical support and mentoring to others.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solid grasp of Linux OS fundamentals and experience resolving application-related issues.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
- Understanding of HPC infrastructure and applications concepts.
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools including Automation, Jira, and Confluence.
- Exposure to Flex-based licensing, EDA tools, and LSF job scheduling is desirable.
- AIOps, observability, distributed-team experience, and experience in a sophisticated multi-geography engineering services environment are nice-to-have qualifications.
