Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for the Coupang Eats mobile platform across multiple applications.
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable mobile architectures and platform capabilities across teams.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices in software design, testing, observability, release management, and operational quality.
- Partner with engineering, product, operations, design, and other stakeholders to align technical strategy with business and customer needs.
- Lead mission-critical, cross-team technical initiatives from concept through execution and operational excellence.
- Influence organizational technical direction through architectural reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and develop senior mobile engineers and technical leaders.
- Foster an engineering culture centered on ownership, innovation, velocity, and customer focus.
Requirements
- 10+ years of mobile software engineering experience, including significant experience building and scaling consumer-facing mobile applications used by millions of users.
- Proven experience leading large-scale mobile initiatives and influencing technical direction across teams or organizations.
- Deep expertise in native Android and/or iOS development and modern mobile application architecture.
- Strong experience designing scalable mobile platforms, frameworks, libraries, and developer tooling.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong system design, problem-solving, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
