Responsibilities
- Shape and build Azumuta’s manufacturing execution product as part of the R&D team.
- Develop AI agents, agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation systems, and context or prompt engineering.
- Build distributed, multi-tenant SaaS systems and integrations with industrial and engineering systems.
- Develop complex manufacturing data models, multi-level BOMs, variant rollups, routing, and version-controlled executable work.
- Create frontend experiences including complex application UX, real-time interfaces, offline-capable tablet applications, and data-dense dashboards.
- Work on computer vision, video understanding, ML pipelines, and software interfaces for robots and humanoids.
- Improve reliability, observability, deployment, testing efficiency, tooling, processes, and feedback loops.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates, communicate technical decisions, and take ownership of broken or incomplete work.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping real software products, preferably SaaS products.
- Full-stack capability with substantial depth in either backend or frontend engineering.
- Backend experience may include distributed systems, multi-tenant SaaS, AI and agent orchestration, industrial integrations, or video and ML pipelines.
- Frontend experience may include complex application UX, real-time interfaces, offline-capable tablet apps, or performant data-dense dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with some agent loops and tool use, multi-agent orchestration, evaluations, or prompt and context engineering.
- Experience using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar agent-based development tools in daily work.
- Ability to make trade-offs involving reliability, observability, and cost, and to ship software used by real users.
- Ownership mindset, pragmatic communication, willingness to give and receive feedback, and ability to collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers.
- Preferred but not required: B2B SaaS or manufacturing and industrial software experience, and experience with Azumuta’s technology stack.
