Responsibilities
- Drive high-impact initiatives across Snowflake product areas and the full technology stack.
- Own and deliver features across the notebook service, container runtimes, and user interface from ambiguous problem statements through production and post-launch.
- Advance runtime management and patching, environment reproducibility and replication, security and compliance, and notebook observability.
- Extend the product to operate reliably in regulated and air-gapped environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and platform organizations, and contribute to product vision and team planning.
- Build for scale, reliability, and high performance while participating in the on-call rotation for a Tier-1 production service.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and improve engineering quality through design and code review.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience, including significant full-stack software development experience.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
- Experience with backend services and distributed systems.
- Experience with containers and orchestration, with Docker and Kubernetes familiarity preferred.
- Experience building for regulated, compliance-driven, or air-gapped environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of database internals and SQL is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills with a proactive and transparent working style.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related major.
