Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
- Design and propose tailored data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services solutions.
- Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
- Provide product training, technical education, and technical-selling support to sales teams and customers.
- Act as a trusted IT advisor and partner with Field Account Executives and customer stakeholders.
- Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for top prospects, and acquire new business.
- Identify technology opportunities and develop solutions that fit customer needs and budgets.
- Engage CIOs, IT directors, CTOs, and other client contacts to support comprehensive account management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience with complex data center sales opportunities is required.
- Ability to design infrastructures involving hybrid cloud, hyperconverged systems, software-defined data centers, infrastructure/platform as a service, automation, containerization, and data center management platforms is required.
- Knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation is required.
- Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and articulating value is required.
- Experience with Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix is required.
- Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, active/standby, active/active, and clustering solutions is required.
- Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.
- Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix is preferred.
