Responsibilities
- Ensure products and services meet established standards for quality, reliability, usability, and performance.
- Write and execute tests and report issues using documented test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
- Document defects in Microsoft Team Foundation Server and communicate them to developers.
- Develop testing programs covering database impacts, regression, negative testing, bug retests, usability, integration, system, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Participate in product design reviews and provide input on requirements, designs, schedules, and potential problems.
- Track QA metrics, estimate testing tasks, and communicate QA activity status.
- Support testing across multiple projects and product releases, including web and Windows applications.
Requirements
- More than five years of testing and/or systems engineering experience is required.
- Experience understanding business requirements and functional specifications and creating test plans and test cases for adequate coverage.
- Experience writing unit tests, such as with NUnit, and developing in C#.
- Experience with risk-based decision-making, system integration troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing T-SQL queries.
- Experience with database, regression, end-to-end, integration, boundary/negative, defect retest, usability, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience testing web applications for cross-browser compatibility across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Experience testing both web and Windows applications and using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, customer focus, influence, active listening, reading comprehension, and programming skills.
