Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, enhance, and support Java-based applications, services, APIs, and data-driven solutions for CIB Operations.
  • Partner with product owners, business partners, technology leads, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver application features and user stories.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and iterative feature delivery.
  • Support application modernization, automation, cloud adoption, data center migration, and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Contribute to software build, testing, deployment, and release activities using automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, perform root cause analysis, and support production activities to maintain application stability and performance.
  • Create and support reports, dashboards, data integrations, and other business and operational data solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project updates, risks, and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools where appropriate for coding, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement, engineering standards, security, risk, compliance, and change-management requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Preferred experience developing, testing, and supporting backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
  • Preferred experience developing automation, integration, or data-processing solutions using Python.
  • Preferred experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, debugging, software testing, source control, and software development lifecycle practices.
  • Experience or ability to collaborate using Git, GitHub, or comparable source-control platforms.
  • Experience with automated build, deployment, and release workflows using GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, Liquibase, and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools; GitHub Copilot is preferred, and Claude Code or Devin experience is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate data using business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Understanding of cloud computing, cloud adoption, cloud migration, application modernization, and data center migration concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum delivery practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data science, or a related technical field is preferred but not required.
  • Financial services, capital markets, banking operations, regulatory reporting, or related industry exposure is a plus.
