Responsibilities
- Assist senior developers with rapid prototyping and deployment of GenAI/LLM, NLP, and computer vision solutions.
- Configure and maintain development environments and local tooling for unclassified and SCIF-based AI development.
- Containerize applications and package models for secure deployment environments.
- Integrate prototypes into CI/CD pipelines and deploy them to secure, multi-tenant AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Prepare prototype environments for customer demonstrations and maintain clean, well-structured, well-commented codebases.
- Draft technical documentation, API guides, and system diagrams for transition into operational systems.
Requirements
- Reside in the Northern Virginia corridor and support a hybrid work model with on-site SCIF and customer-facility work as needed.
- Hold an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access; TS/SCI is strongly preferred and may be required for specific tasking.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant software or AI/ML experience, or a related master’s degree with 0+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate foundational proficiency in Python and core software engineering practices, including Git-based version control, unit testing, and clean code architecture.
- Have hands-on exposure to at least one major ML framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, through coursework, projects, internships, or professional work.
- Familiarity with Docker, basic AWS or Azure cloud concepts, lightweight frontend tools such as React, and Intelligence Community missions is preferred.
- Be able to work at a computer workstation for extended periods, occasionally lift equipment up to approximately 20 pounds, commute to Northern Virginia-area facilities, and travel occasionally to other customer sites.
