Responsibilities
- Oversee cloud security governance and monitoring.
- Maintain a Cloud Security Posture Management solution and apply knowledge of DSPM solutions.
- Provide cloud security subject-matter expertise to DevOps, IT, development, GRC, and product teams.
- Support and maintain cloud-native security controls across Azure or Google Cloud environments.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud environments and identify weak spots, vulnerabilities, and missing controls.
- Document security recommendations, best practices, and remediation guidance.
- Monitor emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security controls.
- Participate in investigations and responses to potential security incidents.
- Implement automation for security-related tasks using scripting and other tools.
- Assist with auditing and building secure primarily IaaS and PaaS cloud environments.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar technical security role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong knowledge of CSPM and DSPM solutions.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, architecture best practices, managed services, vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security practices.
- Broad IT and enterprise architecture knowledge, including TCP/IP, firewalls, proxies, Windows and Linux server operating systems, and web and database servers.
- Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, serverless technologies, and code or artifact repositories; hands-on experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and practical experience using AI tools for productivity, automation, and security workflows.
- Effective spoken and written English communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of AWS is an additional advantage.
- Relevant security, systems, or networking certifications are advantageous.
