Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices on AWS.
- Build custom APIs, containerized services, and software that processes relational and NoSQL data.
- Maintain documented, formatted, version-controlled code and participate in code reviews.
- Resolve technical issues identified during testing to support promotion from development to production.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply DevSecOps practices to secure software development and support cross-functional teams delivering software products.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years of experience, or an MS with 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and at least one additional language such as Go or Python.
- Experience with AWS CLI, AWS SDK, AWS cloud services, APIs, REST, Swagger, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and ECS.
- Experience with AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
- Understanding of event-driven systems, distributed architectures, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, AWS IAM, Cognito, Okta, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with AI-assisted development and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
