Base Salary
$117k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and govern CHEC’s end-to-end technical architecture across the React frontend, .NET APIs, backend services, data layers, and Azure infrastructure.
- Serve as the technical authority for full-stack development, cloud architecture, engineering standards, system design, and architectural patterns.
- Lead the automation QA strategy, including tooling selection, UI/API/integration coverage, and CI/CD quality gates.
- Architect and review Azure-hosted services for security, observability, and scalability.
- Mentor senior and junior developers and provide technical reviews, coaching, and guidance on AI coding assistant usage.
- Ensure traceability, auditability, validation, and quality for configuration changes in a safety-relevant domain.
- Define and lead AI-augmented development practices, including tool selection, prompt engineering standards, workflow integration, and evaluation of AI-generated code.
- Partner with UX, Product Owners, and Application Engineering on roadmap execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 810+ years of software engineering experience as stated in the posting.
- Proven technical leadership or architect experience.
- Strong full-stack expertise with React and TypeScript on the frontend and .NET and C# on the backend.
- Hands-on leadership of QA automation and experience with UI, API, and integration testing strategies.
- Experience with system design and microservices, event-driven, and domain-driven design patterns.
- Expertise with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Entity Framework.
- Knowledge of security architecture, OWASP, and authentication and authorization patterns.
- Experience with REST API design, versioning, and contract-first design.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience defining and leading AI-augmented development practices across a team.
- Proficiency with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor and prompt engineering for code generation, testing, and documentation.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, security, compliance, and auditability.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise or safety-relevant systems experience, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, performance engineering, LLM API integration, measurable use of AI tools to accelerate delivery, and AI evaluation or testing framework experience.

- Starting base salary is $117,000–$150,000 USD, dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
