Base Salary
$165k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate services for authentication, authorization, token management, and account security.
- Own IAM functionality end to end from architecture and coding through rollout, observability, and long-term reliability.
- Partner with Product and Security to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve service performance, scalability, and resilience across distributed systems.
- Drive engineering excellence through thoughtful designs, clean implementations, and strong operational practices.
- Mentor teammates, influence cross-company architecture, and contribute to a culture of learning and craftsmanship.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong technical foundation and problem-solving ability, including experience creating reliable, scalable, and extensible software.
- Experience developing software end to end using AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, OpenCode, or similar tools.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, take ownership of complex systems, and deliver measurable results.
- Experience building backend or platform services in a production environment.
- Familiarity with continuous integration environments.
- Preferred experience with authentication, authorization, IAM protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM, or account security.
- Preferred experience with service protection, throttling, anti-abuse systems, large-scale distributed systems, core platform engineering, systems design, or reliability-critical services.
