Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship backend features in the Django monolith and new greenfield projects.
- Develop functionality for document viewing, editing, embeds, exports, and integrations.
- Optimize database queries, endpoints, caching layers, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers.
- Write code reviews, automated tests, and observability-focused code.
- Incorporate teammate feedback and continuously improve engineering craft.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building backend applications.
- Solid experience with Python.
- Ability to optimize endpoint performance and database queries in owned code.
- Strong advocacy for automated testing.
- Familiarity with engineering best practices and willingness to deepen them.
- User-centric, empathetic, and passionate approach to the work.
