Responsibilities
- Define and drive the ML technical strategy for Search.
- Build models to enhance query understanding and personalization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including user research and engineering.
- Prototype and productionize new modeling approaches at scale.
- Lead high-impact projects from ideation through deployment.
- Partner with tech leaders to influence priorities and ensure scalability.
- Engage with the broader ML and Search research community.
Requirements
- Strong background in machine learning and recommender systems.
- Hands-on experience with transformer models in production or a strong interest in them.
- Production experience developing large-scale ML systems in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow is a strong plus.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication skills to align and influence stakeholders.
- Eagerness to apply emerging ML trends, particularly in LLMs and generative recommenders.
