Base Salary
$176k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Extend the core engine with new robot behavior capabilities.
- Design scalable APIs and build cloud integrations for remote robot customization.
- Develop AI integrations that configure robot behavior through natural language.
- Own backend infrastructure connecting the system components.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software.
- Contribute to complex system architecture and make scalability, performance, and maintainability decisions.
- Lead projects from conception through completion and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot software defects and production issues and conduct post-mortem analyses.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement testing strategies, code reviews, continuous integration practices, and automated testing.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements to development efficiency, product quality, and user experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go or C++, with proficiency in both preferred.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and architectural patterns.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and related technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive projects, make informed decisions, and deliver high-quality results.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Past experience with ROS is preferred.
- Past experience in a startup or other fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and perform the stated desk, computer, vision, and mobility requirements.
