Associate Embedded SW Engineer – Medical Devices

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and verify embedded C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers and medical devices.
- Implement real-time software using RTOS platforms or bare-metal designs under strict performance and timing constraints.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware integration, and debugging of firmware-hardware interactions.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, FDA design controls, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Document design decisions and verification results and support regulatory submissions.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time and work a first-shift daytime schedule.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, low-level driver development, and performance optimization.
- Experience with RTOS, bare-metal systems, and real-time software design.
- Skill debugging firmware-hardware interactions and performing board bring-up.
- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Ceedling, Unity, CMock, or CppUTest.
- New college graduates are welcome to apply.
- Preferred qualifications include network analysis and debugging experience with Wireshark or tcpdump and troubleshooting IP packets over Wi-Fi, BLE, and Ethernet.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows, prompt engineering, agentic coding tools, or automated code generation and validation techniques.
