Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute system-level manual and automated integration tests derived from documented software requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Python-based automated regression tests and integration support utilities.
  • Install, configure, load, and integrate subsystem software builds into laboratory equipment suites.
  • Troubleshoot distributed software systems using gray-box code analysis, logs, traces, and diagnostic data.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and retest integration defects while supporting root cause analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory operability and equipment readiness during integration and test activities.
  • Plan and coordinate laboratory resource usage and support integration events outside standard business hours.
  • Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and integration teams in a configuration-controlled environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software integration, system test, or software engineering in a structured, configuration-controlled environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or authorization.
  • Experience executing system-level test procedures derived from documented requirements.
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed software systems in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Ability to read and analyze C/C++, Java, or similar production code for integration troubleshooting and gray-box validation.
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language.
  • Experience capturing and analyzing logs, traces, and diagnostic data for root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work on-site in laboratory environments and outside standard business hours.
  • Preferred qualifications include distributed or system-of-systems architecture, pub/sub messaging, automated test frameworks, CI/CD environments, version control, artifact management, issue and requirements tracking tools, performance analysis, and relevant certifications such as ISTQB or Security+.
