Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, implement, and validate scalable enterprise application solutions.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of application platforms, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, optimization, standardization, and automation.
- Partner with enterprise architects and technical and business stakeholders on requirements, integration, solution design, and technical decisions.
- Lead prototyping, proof-of-concept efforts, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and system optimization.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, governance, secure deployment practices, and application administration best practices.
- Mentor application administrators and engineers and serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Support business alignment, end-user enablement, documentation, training, and measurable operational improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a network, computer, or management-related field plus substantial information technology experience, or an associate degree in a technology-related field plus extensive information technology experience.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, systems integration, and system design principles.
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-native solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure and PaaS environments.
- Expertise in secure configuration, deployment, vulnerability mitigation, performance engineering, and distributed-system optimization.
- Ability to lead through influence, mentor teams, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Certifications or skills in Scrum, Agile, SAFe, or comparable frameworks are preferred.
- Insurance industry experience or familiarity with insurance terminology, workflows, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and compliance with Certified Fleet Operator requirements under the company driving and safety policy.
- Ability to work extended periods at a computer, lift and move up to 40 pounds, work occasional long or irregular hours, and travel as required.
