Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy backend software supporting scientists, including automation for data products and MLOps for predictive models.
- Translate scientific needs and algorithms into maintainable, efficient, and robust software solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, architectural discussions, and technical quality improvements.
- Coordinate work with the team, present progress to stakeholders, and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, modellers, and scientific experts.
- Evaluate libraries and technologies, assess dependencies, and strengthen technical and scientific understanding.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience working in software engineering teams outside solely academic experience.
- Bachelor's, master's degree, PhD, or similar qualification in computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics, AI/ML-focused Information Technology, data and analytics, or a related field.
- Significant professional experience with Python and at least basic familiarity with NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and PySpark.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, CI/CD, containerisation, testing, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and scientific disciplines.
- Experience with AWS, cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, distributed systems, orchestration, visualisation, data analysis, biology, or chemistry is advantageous.
Benefits
- Position based in Måløv, Denmark, with a minimum of three days per week in the main office and options for flexible work location.
- Occasional travel to offices in the Copenhagen area and infrequent travel to conferences or Novo Nordisk offices outside Denmark may occur.
