Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Kubernetes platforms using Rancher/RKE2 or AKS, including upgrades, scaling, performance tuning, backups, and high-availability patterns.
- Enhance Terraform modules, Helm/Kustomize templates, GitHub Actions workflows, and self-service onboarding to create automation and developer golden paths.
- Implement and support Argo CD GitOps workflows, including safe deployments, rollbacks, and drift detection.
- Support container supply-chain and ACR registry management, including immutability and vulnerability scanning.
- Maintain platform observability with Datadog/Prometheus and Graylog/Splunk through dashboards, alerts, and basic SLOs.
- Partner with development and infrastructure teams on onboarding, troubleshooting, documentation, and incident response, including participation in an on-call rotation.
- Follow established security and compliance guardrails covering RBAC, secrets management, and change controls.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Platform, SRE, or DevOps roles with hands-on production Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with GitOps and modern CI/CD tooling such as Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Helm/Kustomize, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
- Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python and comfort with YAML-driven workflows.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Deep production experience with Rancher/RKE2 or AKS is preferred.
- Preferred additional experience includes Kyverno/Gatekeeper policy-as-code, cosign and SBOM-based supply-chain security, ACR governance, artifact promotion, hardened self-hosted runners, and SOX/SOC-aligned CI/CD controls.
- Experience integrating AI/ML-driven automation into containerized infrastructure and DevOps workflows is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Terraform Associate or Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD are preferred.
